Twilight Funeral services now available

At The Old St Thomas Chapel - we believe everyone should be able to personalize their ceremony. There is ‘no such thing’ as one size fits all. This goes for funeral services too.

Why should a funeral service have to be held between 9am and 5pm?. We understand that organising a funeral for your loved one can be difficult and people have to work. So we have introduced our new “Twighlight Package"

Available for funeral services weekdays from 4pm. (There may be some availability for weekends.)

You may book the chapel yourself and make your own service plans. Or we recommend speaking to our preferred Funeral Director - Anna at Gentle Hand Funerals who will offer a comprehensive funeral service across a wide range of cultures and communities. The goal for Anna and her team At Gentle Hand Funerals is to create personalised services that honour and beautifully reflect the unique life of your loved one - here in our historic Chapel.

Some criteria will apply to be able to have a Twighlight Service such as burial versus cremation. Speak to our Chapel staff or the staff at Gentle Hand Funerals to find out if a Twighlight service will suit your loved one’s wishes.

A Twighlight service offers the ability to celebrate your loved one after the service at a local restaurant for dinner, drinks or supper. Ask our friendly staff for recommendations of local restaurants and locations.

A Special introductory price of $550 Chapel hire will apply for Twighlight Funeral Services for two hours hire.

The Chapel seats 140 people comfortably.

Facilities for audio visual (AV) presentations are available for your use.  A wide screen TV with HDMI, USB and sRGB connections is always available. You provide the laptop, USB thumb drive with exported MP4 video, DVD or other media. Please call our office to discuss your requirements. We have music facilities available to play any special music. It’s easy to plug in your mobile device and use a Spotify playlist or similar. Otherwise, we can accommodate CDs, USBs and other AUX connections.

Hire of Chapel Only - Weekdays
Provides a 2 hour rental starting half an hour before your scheduled ceremony start time

Ceremony time 4pm or later - weekdays. (Weekends may be available at short notice)

Hire of Chapel & Celebrant

Hire of Chapel for a Viewing
Hire the Chapel for up to 1 hour. During the day or evening for an open casket viewing. May be organized by your funeral director with us directly.

Extra Time
$250 per half hour (where bookings allow)

Payment
Payment in full is required on or before the service day. An invoice will be provided upon making a booking. We accept cash, cheques, VISA and Mastercard and bank transfers.
